Creative Ideas for Your Winter Hot Tub Party

Posted by Kris Kemp on

Winter has arrived, which means long, cold nights. Why not welcome the season—and combat the chill—with a gathering of family and friends? Make your backyard a winter sanctuary by offering food, drink, and of course a soak in your Jacuzzi® Hot Tub. Here are some creative ideas for your winter hot tub party:

Install Lights
In winter, your trees are often bare. This may look bleak during the daytime, but bare branches are far easier to adorn with lights. Hang strings of lights from the branches, running them through separate trees or connecting trees to one another. When the sun goes down, you’ll have a magnificent winter light show.

Provide Warmth
Keep your guests warm and cozy by providing a basket full of blankets and towels. If you have a towel heater, place the blankets there to warm them up before handing them out. When your party makes its way to the hot tub, keep the towels on the heater or at least in a protected place to ensure you can all wrap up with something comfortable and dry when you step out of the water.

Offer Toasty Drinks
Combat the cold air of a winter evening with a bar full of warm drinks. Keep hot chocolate, tea, and coffee standing by, as well as some stouter beverages. Offer your guests a Spanish hot coffee—made with coffee and Spanish bourbon—or a hot buttered rum.

Make S’mores
You can’t go wrong with s’mores to warm up a winter night. Light the fire pit, cover an outdoor table with a festive cloth, and then set out the ingredients for these cold-weather treats. Remember to use the old standbys of graham crackers, chocolate, and marshmallows, but you can offer your guests more creative options as well. Provide caramel, more elaborate types of chocolate like dark or white, and fruits like strawberries and bananas. For a salty and sweet combination, offer your guests bacon bits to sprinkle on their s’mores.
